This school holidays, step into the world of Dungeons & Dragons with Welcome to the Hellfire Club, a four-day adventure program inspired by the D&D games played by the characters of Stranger Things.

Across four days, players will take on a series of connected adventures, battling monsters, solving problems and making decisions together as their characters grow from Level 1 to Level 3. Each player will choose one of the ready-to-play characters from the show, including Lady Applejack, Nog the Dwarf, Sundar the Bold, Tayr the Paladin and Will the Wise, so there is no need to create a character or learn the rules beforehand.

The program is designed especially for players aged 12–16, with no previous D&D experience required. A professional Dungeon Master will guide the group through each adventure, explain the rules as they come up and make sure everyone has the chance to contribute.

D&D is a social, collaborative game built around imagination rather than screens. Players work together to overcome challenges, make plans, solve problems and tell a story as a group. It encourages teamwork, communication, creativity, confidence and flexible thinking, all while giving players the freedom to approach problems in their own way.

Sessions will take place in our dedicated game room in Footscray, with terrain, miniatures and other tabletop elements helping bring the adventure to life.

Over the four days, players will:

• Complete four Dungeons & Dragons adventures

• Level up their character from Level 1 to Level 3, gaining new abilities and spells

• Learn the basics of D&D in a beginner-friendly environment

• Work together to overcome monsters, puzzles and unexpected problems

• Develop confidence with roleplaying, decision-making and teamwork

• Enjoy a social tabletop experience away from phones and computer screens

Whether they already love Stranger Things, have been curious about Dungeons & Dragons, or simply want to try something different these school holidays, Welcome to the Hellfire Club is an easy way to jump into the game.
